What versions of macOS does Barstool support?

Barstool supports macOS Tahoe (26.0) and later.

Will this break in future macOS updates?

Very possibly. Barstool relies on a number of private APIs and reverse-engineered functionality to provide its features, so there’s always a risk that a future macOS update could break something. However, We’re committed to maintaining Barstool and will work to fix any issues that arise as quickly as possible.

Why are you asking me to run a command in the terminal after downloading Barstool?

Newer versions of macOS have implemented specific requirements on Codesigning and notarization that make it more difficult to distribute apps outside of the App Store.

By asking users to run a simple command in the terminal, we can set the necessary extended attributes on the app bundle to allow it to run without being blocked by Gatekeeper.

This is a one-time step that ensures you can use Barstool without any issues. We provide clear instructions on how to do this, and we're always here to help if you run into any problems.

We are working on getting Barstool notarized to eliminate the need for this step in the future, but in the meantime, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

What data does Barstool collect?

Barstool collects minimal data necessary for license verification, including your email address, a non-identifiable device identifier, and the name of your device. We do not store any information about your devices or how you use the app. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy

Is there a free trial available?

No. However, we do offer a 14-day refund policy, so you can purchase Barstool and try it out risk-free. If you're not satisfied, just contact us for a refund.
